Getting back to your story

Choose Log in and type the email for your account.
Tap Email me a code and type the 6 numbers from the email. No password needed.
Prefer a password? Tap Use my password instead. If it does not work, request a password reset link below.

You only log in once on each phone or computer. After that it keeps you logged in, and worththetelling.com opens straight to your stories. You log in again only on a new device, in a different web browser, or after clearing the browser's history.

Starting a recording

Open your story and choose the button to begin.
Your browser may ask to use the microphone. Choose "Allow" when you are ready to record.
Try a short answer first. Read the on-screen status before closing the page.

If the microphone is blocked, open this website's permissions in your browser and enable Microphone. Then return to the recording page. You can ask someone you trust to help with this step.

Check the website controls beside the address bar for Microphone permissions. If the browser itself is blocked, check microphone access in your device settings.

Return here after allowing access. If you have a recording waiting to upload, keep this page open and follow its recovery instructions before refreshing.

You can choose Type instead on the recording screen at any time before recording.

If a recording is waiting to upload, keep this device and browser available. Do not clear browser data or switch to private browsing. Follow the recovery option shown in your story.

The interviewer is AI software. You can tell it you want a different question, pause, or stop for today. You do not need to give an answer to every question.

Helping someone get started

Use your own account to start a story for someone you are helping.
On "What needs you", choose "Finish setup". Enter an email they can open, tap "Create their setup link", then "Copy setup link".
Send it to them in a text or an email, or open it on their phone yourself. They tap the link, then "Open my stories", and they are in. No password, no code.
Try one short recording together. Show them how to pause, finish, return and ask for help.

The account that manages their book can review their stories. Explain this before recording. The setup link works for 7 days and opens their stories for whoever holds it, so send it only to them.
